Removing a clear panel from under the lid is not difficult and requires only a few items. Parts that are attached to the panel are the rain tubes. The whole panel should come off easily.
Tools required
- Phillip-head screwdriver
- Bath Towel or something similar
Steps
1. Turn off the unit
2. Tap the top of the lid couple of times before opening it to remove any excess water from the rain tubes
3. Open the lid and drape the towel over the opening (to catch the falling screws)
4. Unscrew each indicated points
5. The whole panel and the attached rain tubes should come off easily
6. Lay the clear panel flat on top of the towel
7. Perform any necessary examinations or maintenance as instructed
